Florence is the capital of Tuscany and one of the largest cultural centers in Italy. Pisa is divided into two parts by the river Arno giving the city a romantic color. All buildings are masterpieces of the Italian architecture. The center of the old town with many beautiful churches and palaces is formed by the Piazza dei Cavalieri with the palace of identical name and the church of Santo Stefano dei Cavalieri. The Gothic church of Santa Maria della Spina is also worth a visit. It is situated at the southern bank of the river Arno.
